State Senator Wayne Wallingford Comments on Obamacare Ruling

(CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO) – State Senator Wayne Wallingford has issued the following statement on today’s ruling in King v. Burwell.

“I am disappointed that the U.S. Supreme Court chose to side with the Obama administration rather than enforce the letter of the law. This decision is yet another small step in the erosion of our rights, and it will surely embolden the Obama administration during the last year and a half of his term. At the state level, we must continue to stand up against the harmful policies being put forward by our federal government,” said Senator Wallingford.

Wayne Wallingford, a businessman from Cape Girardeau, was elected to the Missouri Senate in 2012. Wallingford served in the United States Air Force for 25 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after a career including five tours in Vietnam and six tours as part of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. For his service, he received 47 medals including the Silver Star and Distinguished Flying Cross.
